The Kansas City Chiefs may have become a more defense-oriented, grind-it-out team in recent years, but with Patrick Mahomes under center, fantasy gold is never far away. While Travis Kelce’s dynasty value is fading with age, several young weapons are emerging — and dynasty managers should be paying close attention as the Chiefs reshape their offense for the Mahomes era 2.0.

Patrick Mahomes: Still the Standard

Mahomes didn't lead the league in fantasy scoring in 2024 — but remains one of the most secure long-term dynasty assets in all of football. His consistency, leadership, and talent keep the Chiefs’ offense afloat even during transitional years.

2024–2025 Fantasy Production: Mahomes threw for 3,928 yards and 26 touchdowns, with 11 interceptions. He added 307 rushing yards and 2 rushing scores. While the ceiling was lower without elite WR play, Mahomes remained a top-10 QB in most formats.

Dynasty Value: At just 29 years old, Mahomes is firmly locked in as a top-3 dynasty QB for the foreseeable future. The Chiefs are continuing to rebuild their receiving corps, and it’s only a matter of time before Mahomes returns to MVP-level fantasy output.

Rashee Rice: The Breakout (and the Caveat)

Rashee Rice’s rookie breakout in 2023 carried into early 2024 — but a late-season off-field incident and upcoming suspension have clouded his dynasty value. On the field, he was everything Mahomes needed: tough, reliable, and productive.

2024–2025 Fantasy Production: When he returned from injury late in the 2024 campaign, Rice recorded 24 receptions for 288 yards and 2 touchdowns. Upon his return, he continued to show strong YAC ability.

Dynasty Value: Rice is a 25-year-old WR with WR2 upside in a Mahomes-led offense. However, legal issues and a multi-game suspension in 2025 have made him a volatile dynasty asset. He’s a high-risk, high-reward hold — and could be a smart buy for teams that can absorb short-term uncertainty.

Xavier Worthy: The Speed Injection

The Chiefs drafted Xavier Worthy in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft — and it’s easy to see why. The fastest player in Combine history, Worthy offers the kind of field-stretching speed that Kansas City’s offense has lacked since Tyreek Hill’s departure.

2024–2025 Fantasy Outlook: Worthy took over for the injured Rashee Rice in the Mahomes-led offense.....and held his own just fine. Worthy's inaugural season in the NFL resulted in 635 yards on 59 receptions to go with 6 TDs, a solid first year for any wideout.

Dynasty Value: Worthy is already a high-upside WR2 in most dynasty formats. His long-term ceiling is tied directly to his connection with Mahomes. If the offense clicks, Worthy could be one of the most valuable young receivers in fantasy by 2026.

The Chiefs are retooling around Mahomes with speed and youth. While Kelce’s dynasty window is closing, the combination of Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy offers explosive potential. And of course, Mahomes remains the ultimate fantasy anchor.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Travis Kelce: A legendary fantasy TE nearing the end. Still usable in 2025, but not a long-term hold.
  • Isiah Pacheco: A productive, hard-running back, but may eventually be usurped by other, younger options at the position for the Chiefs. RB2 for contenders, and a potential sell-high.
