The Minnesota Vikings are entering a new era, ushered in by 2nd year quarterback J.J. McCarthy returning from injury. With an elite wide receiver core and a creative offensive system under coach Kevin O’Connell, the Vikings remain a treasure trove of dynasty value. The offensive infrastructure is strong, and that keeps the arrows pointing up.

My comprehensive guide for this series can be found here, and click here for a list of all teams in the series.

Justin Jefferson: Still the Dynasty WR1

Jefferson battled injury in 2024 but remains one of the most dominant and consistent wide receivers in the game. When healthy, he’s a weekly difference-maker — and still only 26.

2024–2025 Fantasy Production: In 17 games, Jefferson posted 103 catches for 1,533 yards and 10 touchdowns. His pace was nearly identical to his 2021 breakout season.

Dynasty Value: Jefferson is the WR1 or WR2 in nearly all dynasty formats. With a 2nd year signal caller under center in 2025, there may be some early inconsistency, but Jefferson’s talent transcends scheme or quarterback. He remains a foundational dynasty asset for any roster.

Jordan Addison: Emerging Star

Jordan Addison made a strong impression in his rookie year and continued to build on that in 2024. As defenses focus on Jefferson, Addison thrives with softer coverage and sharp route running.

2024–2025 Fantasy Production: Addison caught 63 passes for 875 yards and 9 touchdowns in his sophomore season. He was particularly effective in the red zone and on intermediate routes, establishing himself as a trusted second option in the offense.

Dynasty Value: At 23 years old, Addison is a WR2 with long-term WR1 upside — especially if McCarthy continues to develop as expected. He’s a fantastic dynasty asset who pairs long-term value with short-term production despite playing alongside one of the best WRs of this generation in Jefferson.

J.J. McCarthy: Long-Term Superflex Investment

Drafted in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, McCarthy is the Vikings’ future under center. While his rookie year was lost due to a season-ending injury, he’s expected to take over in 2025. His mobility, decision-making, and strong coaching environment give him a good chance to succeed.

2024–2025 Fantasy Outlook: McCarthy may have growing pains early in 2025, but with Jefferson, Addison, and T.J. Hockenson to throw to, he has one of the best supporting casts of any young QB.

Dynasty Value: McCarthy is a top-15 QB pick in Superflex formats. He’s an excellent up-and-coming dynasty asset for both contenders and rebuilders alike, and if he shows early signs of excellence (similar to Sam Darnold last year), his value will skyrocket.

Now more powerful than ever: The Machine - DFS Lineup Optimizer

The Vikings are loaded with pass-catching talent and now have a young quarterback to build around. Jefferson and Addison form a dynamic WR duo, and McCarthy gives the team — and dynasty managers — a path forward. The pieces are in place for long-term success.

Honorable Mentions:

  • T.J. Hockenson: Still a solid dynasty tight end when healthy and played 10 games last year after recovering from a torn ACL in 2023. He's hoping for a fresh start now a full offseason removed from his injury.
  • Aaron Jones: Veteran starting RB for 2025. Value mostly for contenders in need of short-term RB production.
  • Jordan Mason: Likely backup RB for now, but was acquired by the team via offseason trade with the 49ers and should see a lot of play time if Jones gets hurt/misses time.
