ASL's Kevin Campbell looks at the Green Bay Packers' fantasy assets, focusing on QB Jordan Love, RB Josh Jacobs, and WR Jayden Reed. With youth, speed, and rising chemistry, the Packers are one of the more intriguing offenses for dynasty managers.
Jordan Love: The QB1 Candidate
Jordan Love shook off early doubts and delivered a breakout 2024 campaign that firmly established him as the Packers’ franchise QB. After sitting behind Aaron Rodgers for the first three years of his career (similar to his predecessor), Love now leads a dynamic offense loaded with weapons.
2024 Fantasy Production: Love passed for 3,389 yards and 25 touchdowns with just 11 interceptions. He also added 83 rushing yards and 1 score, not quite matching his rushing production from the previous year. However, he is a sneaky rusher for a QB, and could easily end up back in the top-10 of rushing QBs by the end of 2025. Additionally, Love finished as a top-20 QB in most formats, especially shining down the stretch.
Dynasty Value: At just 26, Love is still ascending and locked into a long-term role with the Packers. His deep ball efficiency and improving decision-making make him a great target in SuperFlex leagues or as a high-upside QB2 in dynasty formats. Buy now before his value jumps again.
Josh Jacobs - The Veteran RB
Even though no one will confuse him for one of the league's elite RBs, Jacobs proved his first season in Green Bay was no fluke, and the veteran heads into 2025 as a solid option at the position.
2024 Fantasy Production: Jacobs ended up with over 1,300 rushing yards to go with a career high of 15 TDs, while simultaneously adding on an additional 300+ yards receiving with an additional touchdown. These were some of his best numbers since 2022 with Las Vegas, and he should continue to provide solid production for the Pack.
Dynasty Value: At 27, Jacobs is nearing the end of his prime years as an elite RB, and the bottom could fall off at any time. That said, Jacobs became the centerpiece of an otherwise inconsistent offense, topping 20 touches eight times and being the workhorse back Green Bay desperately needed. He should continue to provide solid value at the position for at least the next 2 years.
Jayden Reed: PPR Dynamo on the Rise
Jayden Reed quietly became a fantasy gem in 2024, leading the Packers in receptions and targets. His route versatility and toughness over the middle have made him a trusted weapon for Love.
2024 Fantasy Production: Reed finished 2024 with 55 receptions, 857 yards, and 6 total touchdowns, including 1 rushing score, and ranked third among all WRs with an 11.4 YPT. While these numbers were down from his rookie year, they were still good enough to solidify him as one of the top pass catchers on the team. He has also become Green Bay's main big-play threat, thereby ensuring that he will continue to provide value at the WR position.
Dynasty Value: Reed is an ascending asset in dynasty, especially in PPR formats. He’s locked into a top-2 role and could emerge as Green Bay’s most consistent fantasy wideout in 2025, despite the presence of 1st round rookie WR Matthew Golden. Reed remains a strong WR3 with WR2 upside for dynasty purposes.
In conclusion, the Green Bay Packers offer a compelling blend of youth, production, and upside for dynasty fantasy managers. Jordan Love has firmly taken the reins as the team’s franchise QB, Josh Jacobs continues to deliver as a dependable veteran workhorse, and Jayden Reed is emerging as a versatile PPR asset with big-play potential. While there are some long-term questions—particularly around Jacobs' age and the arrival of new offensive weapons—the core of this offense is trending upward. Dynasty managers looking to invest in ascending talent would be wise to consider Green Bay’s key pieces heading into 2025.
